Martin Boeckhout is als promovendus verbonden aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam (afdeling Wijsbegeerte, leerstoelgroep Wetenschapsfilosofie), waar hij onderzoek doet naar de opkomst van transnationale samenwerkingen tussen genetische onderzoeksdatabanken (biobanken).
