Author Biography

Alexander Aerts, European University Institute

Alexander Aerts is currently a PhD candidate at the European University Institute (EUI) under the supervision of Nicolas Guilhot working on Alexandre Kojève, Carl Schmitt and the reconstruction of Europe after WWII. His research interest are centred around the intellectual history of European integration. More generally speaking, he researches how processes of legal and economic integration have come to create this entity called 'the European Union'.
