Author Biographies

Zouhair Hammana, Erasmus School of History Culture

Zouhair Hammana is a PhD-candidate and lecturer at the Erasmus School of History Culture and Communication and at the Erasmus School of Social and Behavioral sciences. His dissertation is about racialization within the Dutch educational system.

Rogier van Reekum, Erasmus University Rotterdam

Rogier van Reekum is an assistant professor at the Department of Public Administration and Sociology of Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is currently working onthe genealogy of migration. He has previously conducted research into refugee settlement, issue formation, and the visualization of irregular migration across Europe. Rogier has published on border visuality, nationalism, place making, citizenship & migration politics, immigration policy and education.
